I'm about 50 hours into TotK and nearly finished with the main quest (I just got the "Destroy Ganondorf" quest), but honestly, I think that BotW is the better game. The game is a sequel to botw. So expect it to be handled in a similar manner. As puzzles per game botw and totk are on the same level as older zelda games. But it's because those puzzles are now split that the dungeons aren't going to be as big as prior games. Personally i loved the dungeons in totk. I didn't even realize I was at the temple until I opened up my map halfway through and saw it named the water temple. I knew it was gonna follow the general layout of 'find 5 terminals' but I didn't think it was gonna be like this. The puzzles were all stupidly easy. The layout of the temple, although looked great.
